Alison Doody
Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. After her first small role as an archaeologist in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, her role as Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985) and then went on to perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was approached by a photographer who asked her to perform the role of a model. Then she began an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody did not wear glamour, nudity and thongs in her modelling career. After being spotted by of the director who cast a new James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of the top 12 promising young Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Doody is only 18 at the time she played the part of Doody in A prayer for the dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke, is the youngest Bond girl to be seen. Another film from her early days was a small part in a small role as IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) that starred Mickey Rourke. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television adaptation of The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. Doody performed the role of Sapsorrow in the episode of Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took possibly her most famous role to date in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. She later moved to Hollywood. She was Flannery Charlie Sheen's agent and girlfriend for Major League II. She was chosen to be the replacement for Cybill Shepherd, who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody, who had been absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, came back in 2003 for a minor role on her role in the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine played her in a scene during the ceremony for awards. She was in the film with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Doody filmed a role in the film of Danny Dyer, The Rapture. Then, she appeared in the RTE Medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to be the star of an adaptation in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. In 2011, she started the second season on the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. She was given the Almeria tierra de cinema award on November 21, 2018.
